    Ah,the old,first generation pokemon games. I, actually liked these games. They had cool and weird pokemon sprites,the cities were multicolored and there were some really strange pokemon trainers. I'm glad you get to name your rival because defeating 'Gary' all the time is a bit...boring. Look at your rivals hair in this game! It would be funny if his hair 'waved' as he ran in to Prof.Oak's lab. Your rival in these games is kind of 'crazy'. You may not think this of him, but I certainly do. He actually STEALS your pokemon in Yellow. Then you are left with a dumb wild Pikachu (sorry Pikachu lovers!). Thats the thing with rivals in these games. They're always running around every where trying to get somewhere before you. This stands out the most in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl version. But the worst thing is, they always pick the type that your pokemon is weak against! Now THAT is annoying. At Viridian city,the place where you go to the pokemon league, before you beat Brock, if you go there, he picks on you just because you haven't got your first badge. Then he battles you. It's time to think about the funny parts in this game now. The man ,in Viridian city, who hasn't had his coffee HAS to be the funniest. I mean, he is just lying in the middle of the road JUST because he hasn't has his stupid caffeine. He must be addicted or something. Sprites! these look really weird!  This guy is from Green. Green probably has the funniest sprites! No,wait look at this one : ! Whahahahah!!! Oh my gosh that is soooo funny! Look at his little eyes! Ive never seen a Grimer look so stupid!  this one is O.K. The yellow sprites are not that bad. They're good for revamping.O.K. all of these games have the same role "become a pokemon master" well actually all the games have that role so what is different? Well, of course there is the sprites but there is more. In yellow, you get a Pikachu for a starter and to 'Catch em all' you have to trade pokemon through a link cable from each game. I'm not sure about green but in Red,Blue and Yellow, you need all of the games to complete the pokedex. Well actually, this is only for red and blue but there are some unobtainable pokemon in yellow and you will need blue and red to obtain. Here is a list. Can obtain in Blue only: Sandshrew Sandslash Vulpix Ninetales Meowth Persian Bellsprout Weepinbell Victreebel Pinsir Magmar Can obtain on Red only: Ekans Arbok Growlithe Arcanine Mankey Primeape Oddish Gloom Vileplume Scyther Electabuzz Unobtainable in Yellow: Weedle Kakuna Beedrill Ekans Arbok Raichu Meowth Persian Koffing Weezing Jynx Electabuzz Magmar So, Red,Blue,Green and Yellow seem like really great games but there are a few problems (bad points) about the games. Graphics. Bad graphics are highly noticeable in these games. Its in the sprites too. Oh and sound. You may not think its bad but I perticually don't like how each pokemon has a horrible screech when you encounter it. The music in cities too. Thats actually a bad point in most of the games. Even though the games have some bad points, you can't really blame Nintendo and Game Freak. These where the first pokemon games (red first) and a lot has improved since. These games bring back memorizes so thanks, once again, to Nintendo and Game Freak and everyone else who helped making these cool games! |
