Fire red and Leaf green

Fire RedLeaf Green

As an improvement of R/B/Y/G these games are great. They even kept the old man who is addicted to coffee! So these games are pretty much the same as the first games but they have new islands. There are about 7 islands. 4 at first then 7 when you get the rainbow pass. But you have the Hoenn pokedex in these games. The role is the same as any other pokemon game and your starter pokemon does not get nicked like in R/B/Y/G. So, what are the new improvements in this game that there wasn't in the first games? Well firstly there is the sprites. Highly noticeable. Then there is the Exp.points bar. That goes up when you have defeated a pokemon unless your pokemon is level 100. There is the icons when you 'switch pokemon' or simply check your team and there are the islands too, like a mentioned earlier. Apparently you have to get a ruby and a sapphire for someone to work his machine (is it Bill?). Your pokemon also has a Nature and the towns are proper colours. There are new types,Dark and Steel. New attacks, Imprison and more. So, a lot has changed since the first generation and the truck by SS.Anne has been changed :o. So I don't thing mew will be hiding under there anymore. One of the worst changes has to be that the fossils you recover turn out level 5 instead of 30!
These games are for the platform Gameboy Advanced. Instead of Gameboy or Gameboy Color. The first and second generation are for Gameboy Color, third is for Gameboy Advanced and the forth generation is for the Nintendo DS. Fire Red and Leaf Green are quite old but they don't look it when in battle. Outside of battle though still looks old, compared to Diamond and Pearl. The trainers are different because you can select your gender and you don't always have to be a boy.
Of course, the sprites are a big improvement. Take a look at this:

Pretty big change eh? So, another big change is that. Our favorite villans, Team Rocket are back after a disappearance when Ruby and Sapphire came out. Thanks for another great game Nintendo, gamefreak etc.
